DAVAO CITY (MindaNews / 05 July 2026) — The death toll in the Magnitude 7.8 earthquake on June 8 has reached 92, with the largest numbers recorded in Glan, Sarangani and General Santos City. Glan’s Golden Municipal Hall, abandoned in November 2023 following a Magnitude 6.7 earthquake, buckled under its own weight during the Magnitude 7.8 quake on 8 June 2026. The building was undergoing repairs starting February this year.
