Archdiocese of Manila releases prayer for pilgrims

The Archdiocese of Manila has released a prayer for pilgrims to recite when they visit the different Jubilee Churches in the archdiocese to mark the 500 years of the arrival of Christianity in the Philippines.

The archdiocese released the prayer on Monday, April 12.

The pilgrim’s prayer reads as follows:

“Lord Jesus Christ, the door to the Kingdom of God,
the sheep gate to the eternal life, the Way, the Truth,
and the Life.
As we visit the sacred place, draw us more deeply
into Your presence and the wonders of Your love for us.
We thank You, Lord, for the gift of faith brought to
our beloved land five hundred years ago.
Help us persevere in fruitful penance,
faith that does justice and sincere charity,
and lead us to a more fervent living out of the faith.
You who live and reign with the Father and
the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.”

The prayer is also available in Filipino.
