Watch: Roadside ‘community pantries’ pop up in Philippine capital

A “community pantry” set up in the village of Maginhawa in the Philippine capital inspired other villages to start their own by donating basic goods to help fellow citizens who are in need during the pandemic.

Social media feeds have fueled the interest of people on the movement, whose only rule is to “take what you need” and “give according to your capability.”
