Davao Doctors Hospital leads with first PhilHealth-accredited post-transplant program

What patients can expect 

Under the Post-KT Essential Services Program, patients are entitled to: 

• Monthly anti-rejection medicines fully covered (up to ₱40,000+/month) 

• Infection prophylaxis medicines 

• Routine laboratory tests and trough level monitoring 

• Imaging and diagnostic procedures 

• Renal graft biopsy services are provided when clinically indicated 

• Guidance from dedicated Z Benefit Navigators 

These services are streamlined through a clear process flow, from pre-authorization with PhilHealth to medicine issuance via hospital pharmacy, to laboratory and diagnostic scheduling at DDH’s specialized centers. 

A seamless and integrated patient journey 

Davao Doctors Hospital has streamlined the care process to ensure patients can focus entirely on their recovery. The hospital’s Renal Replacement Center (RRC) serves as the central hub for all post-transplant services. The journey is designed for maximum efficiency, where patients undergo blood sampling at the Oncology Business Center – Lab Express and imaging at the Radiology Department, before receiving their medications directly through the RRC via MedExpress Pharmacy. For those requiring a renal graft biopsy, DDH utilizes a Direct-to-Room protocol, typically involving a brief and efficient three-day hospital stay.
